<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for a chair in which a seat body or a component fixed to the seat body can secure high fixing strength, a method for manufacturing the same, a molding used for the method for manufacturing, and the chair. <P>SOLUTION: The chair 1 includes: the seat body 2; a spacer 3 fixed to the rear surface side with respect to the seat body 2 with the front surface side being the seated surface; a nut with pawl 4 embedded in the spacer 3; a pipe leg 5; and a receiving plate 6 provided between the spacer 3 and the pipe leg 5. The pipe leg 5 is screwed in the seat body 2 by screwing a male screw 8 and the nut with pawl 4 through the receiving plate 6.
