<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a maintenance device with which liquid does not remain on a surface of a wiper, when the wiper having wiped liquid from a liquid ejection head is cleaned with washing liquid and thereafter being used for wiping the liquid ejection head again. <P>SOLUTION: The maintenance device includes: the wiper 21 moving between a wiping position PA where the wiper wipes the liquid ejection head 19 for ejecting ink and an immersion position PC where the wiper is immersed in the washing liquid SE; a thready member 51 abutting to the wiper 21 on a moving path of the wiper 21 and relatively moving with respect to the wiper 21 so as to rub a surface the wiper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
