<p>1293769 Aerosol dispenser UNION CARBIDE CORP 10 Dec 1969 [11 Dec 1968] 60212/69 Heading B2F An aerosol actuator assembly consists of a button 10, made of plastics material, with a cylindrical opening 22 into which an annular insert member 28, with a diameter equivalent to the opening 22, is fitted so that the walls of the opening and the surface 30 are in tight frictional engagement. A second, cylindrically shaped insert member 42 is similarly tightly fitted into opening 22 in such a manner that the surfaces 44 and 36 define an annular conduit 46 providing an annular exit orifice at the front of button 10. Conduit 46 connects via conduits 40, 12b and 12 with the valve stem of the container. The conduit 40 is inclined in a forward direction and to the left (Fig. 2, not shown), so as to impart a spiral motion to the aerosol as it is dispensed through conduit 46. The assembly is especially suitable for use with dry powder aerosol systems.</p> |
