1303305 Tear strips for packages NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 3 Nov 1970 [24 Nov 1969] 52127/70 Heading B8C [Also in Division B2] A container or wrapper has a tape or filament provided to tear open the container or wrapper and minute particles of volatile material individually encased in pressure-rupturable polymeric material so arranged with respect to the said tape or filament that tearing open of the container using the tape or filament ruptures the polymeric material, releasing at least some of the volatile material. In a preferred embodiment container 1 has a closure formed from inner flap 2 and outer flap 3. While longitudinal extremity of the inner flap constitutes a re-seal teck flap 4, which, after opening the container, serves to reseal it. The flap 3 has two glue lines 6 and 9 applied thereto. The glue may be applied to the inner surface of flap 3 to adhere tearing means 7, which may be a tape or filament carrying the rupturable micro-capsules. |
