<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support control device which can accurately, stably and smoothly perform constant speed running by the cruise control at down slope even in the area where the braking force is insufficient by the engine brake, without giving unpleasantness such as the speed change shock and the vibration while providing adequate road surface information to the driver. <P>SOLUTION: When a driver executes the constant speed running at down slope, the driving support control device computes the tire total braking force Ftire based on engine brake and running resistance Fresist, and when computing requested braking force Fdemand necessary to run by setting vehicle speed Vhdc based on the road gradeθ, and determining that the braking force may be insufficient, sets the insufficient braking force according to the ground load distribution, while setting the vehicle in an N range position. Moreover, transfer clutch torque Tlsd is set to a value close to nearly 0 when determined that the braking force is insufficient, and when determined that the braking force is enough, the transfer clutch torque Tlsd is set according to the ground load distribution of the wheel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
