<p>Disclosed are pre-foamed particles of a styrene modified polyethylene resin that can exhibit excellent moldability even in flying-off of a foaming agent in the pre-foamed particles and have high cracking resistance. The pre-foamed particles of a styrene modified polyethylene resin are obtained by foaming styrene modified polyethylene resin particles produced by polymerizing not less than 150 parts by weight and not more than 300 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of polyethylene resin particles, of a styrene monomer. The pre-foamed particles of a styrene modified polyethylene resin are characterized in that the weight average molecular weight of a tetrahydrofuran soluble part, the content of the tetrahydrofuran soluble part, and the content of a hot xylene insoluble gel component are not more than 250000, not less than 10% by weight and not more than 40% by weight, and not less than 15% by weight and not more than 35% by weight, respectively.</p> |
