The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for generating and processing transport packets. The method includes the steps of:generating a transport packet including a packet header, a payload header and a payload, the packet header comprising an identifier of a payload type in a field indicating one of a plurality of payload types, the plurality of payload types comprising a first payload type of a download mode and a second payload type of a streaming mode; and sending the transport packet. |
