Provided are a flat panel display capable of reducing bezel size and a method for manufacturing the same. The flat panel display includes a lower substrate which has a display region and a peripheral region which surrounds the display region, an upper substrate which corresponds to the lower substrate, a sealing member which is located along the peripheral region of the lower substrate and bonds the lower substrate and the upper substrate, a first flexible layer which is located on a surface of the lower substrate which faces the upper substrate in the peripheral region of the lower substrate and is extended to the outside of the lower substrate, and a first line which is interposed between the lower substrate and the sealing part and is extended from the first flexible layer to the outside of the lower substrate. |
