<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording medium from contacting with a nozzle surface by a medium pressing part in recording, and prevent the medium pressing part from interfering with cleaning in cleaning. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet printer includes a head part having the nozzle surface, a head holding part, a platen part, a platen holding part, a moving mechanism of the head holding part and the platen holding part, and the medium pressing part for pressing the recording medium on the platen, and includes a press holding mechanism having an energizing part, an abutting member, a medium press holding part, a support flame, and first and second attracting members. When an interval (a head gap) between the nozzle surface and the platen part becomes a head gap for a recording time, the first and second attracting members are mutually attracted magnetically, and the medium pressing part projects beneath the nozzle surface. When the head gap becomes one for a non-recording (retracting) time, an attracting state of the first and second attracting members is released by action of an energizing spring and the abutting member, and the medium pressing part retracts above the nozzle surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
