<p>A liquid crystal device according to embodiments of the invention includes a first alignment layer that is disposed on the first substrate and includes a second alignment layer that is disposed on the second substrate. The first alignment layer includes a first inorganic layer and a second inorganic layer which having a column-like structure with an orientation angle different from an orientation angle of the column-like structure of the first inorganic layer. The second alignment layer includes a third inorganic layer and a fourth inorganic layer which having a column-like structure with an orientation angle different from an orientation angle of the column-like structure of the third inorganic layer. The ratio of the thickness of the second inorganic layer to the thickness of the first inorganic layer is different from the ratio of the thickness of the fourth inorganic layer to the thickness of the third inorganic layer.</p> |
