<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an easier disassembly operation in disassembling an ancient object into wooden members, components of the ancient article, without damaging each wooden member, as well as to achieve an improved lifetime of the ancient object when restoring the ancient object afterwards by assembling and gluing wooden members into the original object. <P>SOLUTION: In at least two wooden members 2 and 3 constituting the ancient object 1, such as a Buddha statue and a pedestal, mutual opposing surfaces 4 and 5 are releasably glued using an adhesive 6. At least either one of the both opposing surfaces 4 and 5 is made into a rough surface. The adhesive 6 contains polyvinyl alcohol and water. The polyvinyl alcohol is made into 10 pts.mass, and the water is made into 70-120 pts.mass.
