<p>The present invention relates to a method for preparing an osmium (II) complex represented by chemical formula I, where L1-Os-L2. Here, L1 and L2 are independently biscarbene tridentate ligand, and L1 and L3 can be the same or different. The method comprises the steps of: (a) forming an intermediate product by reacting a precursor of a ligand L1 and an osmium precursor, wherein the osmium precursor has chemical formula of OsH_x(PR3)_y, wherein x is an integer number of 2 to 6, y is an integer number of 2 to 5, and R is selected among the group consisting of aryl, alkyl, and cycloalkyl; and (b) reacting a precursor of a ligand L2 and the intermediate product.</p> |
