摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for controlling the operation of a lock-up clutch of an automatic transmission of heavy construction equipment and, more specifically, to a method for controlling the operation of a lock-up clutch of an automatic transmission of heavy construction equipment including a first step of sensing whether a throttle valve is opened or closed by using a throttle position sensor of the heavy construction equipment; a second step of sensing a driving speed of the heavy construction equipment using a driving-speed sensor of the heavy construction equipment driving when the throttle valve is opened; a third step of sensing whether signals for the operation of the lock-up clutch is outputted via a lock-up clutch switch of the heavy construction equipment driving at a predetermined speed using an MCU (Motor Control Unit); a fourth step of determining whether the sensed speed is faster than a preset driving speed or not using a driving-speed determining member when the lock-up clutch is turned on by the lock-up clutch switch; and a fifth step of outputting control signals for locking the lock-up clutch using an TCU (Transmission Control Unit) when it is determined by the driving-speed determining member that the driving speed of the heavy construction equipment is faster than the preset driving speed. The present invention senses the driving speed of the heavy construction equipment to lock the lock-up clutch when the sensed driving speed is faster than the preset reference speed and to release the lock-up clutch when the sensed driving speed is slower than the preset reference speed, thereby obtaining an effect of improving the efficiency of switching a mode of the heavy construction equipment to a driving mode and a working mode.</p>
