<p>The present invention relates to a printer having both of a direct transfer function and a retransfer function, a protective photo printing method using the same, and photographic paper and a printing ribbon used in the printer. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a supply roll and a winding roll of the printing ribbon are arranged to correspond to each other at an upper portion of a plurality of transfer rollers which carry a selected fixed material in a group including various ID cards or plastic cards, such as a certificate, an identification card, a membership card, a driver′s license, a passport, and a credit card, and the photographic printing paper. A supply roll and a winding roll of a middle direct transfer film are arranged to correspond to each other at a lower portion of the transfer rollers. A print head possible to go up and down is arranged between the supply roll and the winding roll of the printing ribbon, and a support roller is arranged to correspond to the print head, between the supply roll and the winding roll of the middle transfer film, at the lower portion of the transfer rollers. The printer is provided to go up and down by corresponding to an operation of the print head as the support roller is connected to an up-down device of an up and down direct-acting method.</p> |
