<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To applicably apply peaking to a video signal based on limitation on a dynamic range of a dynamic range limiter and a luminance change of an input signal in each portion of an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the display system, the circuit includes a peaking filter 802 including a first input 801 configured to receive a video signal, a first filter output provides a peaking signal for the video signal and a second filter output provides a video signal which has been peaked based on the peaking signal, the display system further includes a throttle circuit 825 including a throttle input coupled to the second filter output, the throttle output provides a throttle signal 807 based on the peaked video signal, and a scaler 804 is coupled between the first filter output and a dynamic range limiter 815 and is coupled to the throttle output, and adjusts the peaking signal based on the throttle signal 807. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
