<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy and inexpensive water system treating method that is a suppressing method of microbial damage in water system of adding a hypohalous acid product compound and a halogen stabilizer to the treating object water system, wherein the halogen stabilizer is kept constant at a necessary minimum addition concentration, and the oxidation-reduction potential is kept in a specific range to thereby obtain excellent sterilization/algicidal effect and reducing effect of nitrogen content and COD content. <P>SOLUTION: The water system treating method has: a means of keeping the halogen stabilizer constant at a necessary minimum addition concentration by adding a composition containing a specific concentration measuring object compound and the halogen stabilizer to the treating object water system; and a means of adjusting the addition amount of the hypohalous acid product compound to keep the oxidation-reduction potential of the treating object water in a range of 300-700 mV (saturated KCl-containing silver/silver chloride electrode basis). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
