The present invention relates to a carbon nanotube membrane comprising: an activation layer having a first side and a second side facing the first side; and a plurality of carbon nanotubes penetrating the activation layer and forming pores, wherein the carbon nanotubes: first nanotubes forming an orientation angle of &thgr;1 with a flat side of the activation layer; and second nanotubes forming an orientation angle of &thgr;2 are alternately arranged an the orientation angles of &thgr;1 and &thgr;2 are 30° <= &thgr;1 <= 90° and 90° <= &thgr;2 <= 150° respectively, and a method for manufacturing the carbon nanotube membrane. The method for manufacturing the carbon nanotube membrane facilitates controlling the oriental angle of the carbon nanotubes and arranges the carbon nanotubes regularly, thereby having excellent processibility. The carbon nanotube membrane manufactured by the method has excellent surface porosity, and a reverse osmotic membrane comprising the carbon nanotube membrane has excellent water flux and salt rejection. |
