<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change a reference destination when a replica image for reference becomes unavailable in a virtual machine system of a differential disk type. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual machine system comprises a virtual machine server on which one or more virtual machines run and a storage connected to the virtual machine server and storing prescribed information about the virtual machines. The storage comprises: a plurality of replica files for reference having a replica image which is a copy of a disk image of a master virtual machine; and VM files having disk images of the virtual machines and configuration information including information about a replica image of reference destination and information about a replica image of preliminary reference destination. The virtual machine server comprises reference change means changing a reference destination of a VM file whose reference destination was a replica file for reference based on the configuration information, when any of the replica files for reference has become inaccessible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
