Disclosed are an analog baseband filter apparatus for a multi-mode multi-band radio transceiver and a control method thereof. A filter apparatus for a multi-mode multi-band radio transceiver according to an embodiment of the present specification comprises one or more RF units to output baseband signals using one radio frequency (RF) signal among one or more frequency bands as an input; a filter unit including one or more filter blocks which amplifies and filters the baseband signals; and an input switch unit to connect at least two of the one or more RF units to at least one of the filter blocks according to a selected communication mode. The RF unit determines a communication mode with respect to a signal received in the RF unit and comprises a control unit to control the switching unit. According to an embodiment of the present specification, the present invention may provide a variable gain amplifier, a filter circuit, and an algorithm which effectively realizes a gain and a bandwidth requested by a baseband receiver for all mobile communication standards supporting 2G, 3G, and 4G. |
