The present invention relates to a device for separating an electrostatic coating material and a method thereof capable of reducing handing expenses and environmental pollution by separating a metal coating material coated on highly polymerized compound resin from the resin and the coating material in a dry process. The present invention is provided to firstly grind spent resin comprising the coating material, cool the same, indurate the resin, exfoliate the coating material from the ground resin at a fine size, and separate the resin by collecting the exfoliated fine coating material with an electrostatic method, thereby rapidly separating the metal coating material and the resin at low costs. The present invention reduces costs because a separate post processing process is unnecessary without chemicals; prevents the environmental pollution; and improves process stability without a high-temperature process. |
