PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of suppressing gas generation and hardly having swelling of an outer packaging material.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes: an outer packaging material; a positive electrode housed in the outer packaging material; a negative electrode housed in the outer packaging material so as to be spatially separated from the positive electrode and including a particle of titanium-based oxide, lithium-titanium-based oxide or lithium titanium composite oxide, at least a part of a surface of the particle being covered with at least one element selected from the group consisting of phosphorous and sulfur or a compound of the element; and a nonaqueous electrolyte housed in the outer packaging material. |
