摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in a color separation profile, even if respective grid points are uniformly placed in a uniform color space, a point between the respective grid points is not necessarily uniformly placed, so that when an output color is predicted by interpolation between grid points, color reproduction accuracy deteriorates. <P>SOLUTION: First, an initial profile in which an initial value of a color separation profile is set is prepared. Then, an interpolation accuracy evaluation value based on a target grid point and an adjacent grid point thereof is calculated. Specifically, color material signal values corresponding to the target grid point and the adjacent grid point are acquired from the initial profile. Color values in a uniform color space are predicted from the respective color material signal values, and a color difference between a first color value obtained by interpolating the color values and a second color value in the uniform color space predicted from a value interpolated with the respective color material signal values is defined as the interpolation accuracy evaluation value. A color signal value of the target grid point is updated until the interpolation accuracy evaluation value becomes less than a threshold value, a color material signal value corresponding to the updated color signal value is acquired from the initial profile to be set as the color material signal value of the target grid point in the color separation profile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
