The present invention relates to a lithium manganese based oxide having a layered crystal structure and including Mn as an essential transition metal. The lithium manganese based oxide has a Mn content higher than other transition metals and a section property of a plane level in which oxygen is discharged with lithium deintercalation in initial charge at a high pressure range of 4.4 V or more and is characterized by substituting pillar elements in an oxygen layer and/ or a transition metal layer including the Mn or doping the pillar element in the oxygen layer and/ or the transition metal layer including the Mn.
