Synergistic herbicidal compositions

Synergistic herbicidal compositions are provided, containing as active ingredients: (1) 3-(benzthiazol-2-yl)-1,3-dimethyl-urea of the formula <IMAGE> (I) and (2) 3-(5-n-butylsulphonyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-1,3-dimethyl-urea of the formula <IMAGE> (II) alone or in admixture with a solid or liquid or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier.
