Shock damper for liquids - has elastomeric duct secured to rigid housing by elastomeric bush

The shock damper for liquids comprises a rigid housing (11) contg. an elastomeric duct through which the liquid flows and wherein the housing and the duct define between them a gas-filled space. The duct is secured to the respective ends of the housing by an elastomeric bush (15) inserted into the end portion of the duct and pressing latter portion against the interior of the housing. The bush has an interior metal lining (16), is formed exteriorly with peripheral ribs (15b), and has a shoulder (15c) abutting the end of the duct. The latter is of corrugated form in transverse cross-section but may be cylindrical at its end portions to facilitate reception of the bushes.
