A method of manufacturing a golf ball comprising: forming a core layer, wherein the core layer is made from a first material; forming a mantle layer, wherein the mantle layer substantially surrounds the core layer, and wherein the mantle layer is made from a second material; forming a cover layer, wherein the cover layer substantially surrounds the core layer, and wherein the cover layer is made from a third material; wherein the third material comprises a resilient material, wherein the resilient material has a resilience value and a hardness value, and wherein the resilient material is thermoplastic polyurethane formed from one or more polyisocyanate monomers and one or more hyper branched polyols having a hydroxy valence of from about 2.1 to about 36, and wherein the resilient material is formed by curing the mixture to form a product; wherein the method further comprises grinding the product at a temperature from about 0° C. to about 50° C. to form a ground product; and wherein forming the cover layer comprises extruding or injection molding the ground product.
