1. A device comprising:
a physical (PHY) layer component arranged to implement orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFOM) in downlink transmissions; a radio interface to receive spatial channel estimation signals from a plurality of mobile stations in uplink transmissions, and to provide multiple access to the plurality of mobile stations through spatial-division multiple access (SDMA) using zero-forcing beamforming; a media access control (MAC) layer arranged to estimate spatial channels between the device and the plurality of mobile stations, wherein the MAC layer is further arranged to provide coordinated timing of frames between the device and the plurality of mobile stations; and wherein when it is determined that a first mobile station of the plurality of mobile stations has more data to send to the receiver than a second mobile station of the plurality of mobile stations, the transmitted frames are coordinated in time to end within a predetermined time window, and more data is sent to the second mobile station than the first mobile station.
