The invention relates to a container for preparing a beverage under the pressure of a fluid, comprising a cup having a concave base provided with opening means. The container is provided with a reversible valve positioned at a distance above the concave base and below the solid product housed in the cup, said valve allowing the fluid used to prepare the beverage to flow towards the base of the cup only when the pressure exerted by said fluid upstream of the valve exceeds a pre-determined threshold value.
