<p>PURPOSE: A heat storage device and an operating method thereof are provided to effectively heat a room, and to store heat with minimizing an electric bill even at midnight. CONSTITUTION: A heat storage device comprises a heat pump(1), a heat storage tank(2), a heat storage pump(88), and a controller(100). The heat pump comprises a low temperature cooling cycle(5) and a high temperature cooling cycle(6). As to the high temperature cooling cycle, second coolant circulates in a second compressor, a heat storage heat exchanger, a second expander, and a cascade heat exchanger. The second coolant heats a heat medium with passing through the heat storage heat exchanger. The heat storage tank is connected to the heat storage heat exchanger(54) through a heat medium oil. The heat storage pump is installed in the heat medium path. The controller operates a second compressor and heat storage pump by midnight electricity, and drives the heat storage pump by general electricity if the midnight electricity is not supplied.</p> |
