Disclosed herein is a porous separator for batteries, which includes a coating layer of an organic and inorganic mixture and exhibits good heat resistance and good adhesion to electrodes. Specifically, the porous separator is coated with an organic and inorganic mixture containing a polyvinylidene fluoride homopolymer and a polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer as an organic binder system, and inorganic particles, exhibits good adhesion and thermal stability, prevents short circuit between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and provides improved stability to electrochemical batteries. |
