PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing increase of a CPP, and performing appropriate deviation correction even when a component deteriorates in accordance with the operation condition of the device, and accurately positioning an image and a sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part; a resist roller; a deviation detection part; a deviation correction part; an oscillation amount detection part; and a control part for allowing the deviation correction part to operate in accordance with an oscillation command value corresponding to the detection result of the deviation detection part, and for acquiring a relation between the oscillation command value and the oscillation amount of a sheet in a predetermined timing, and for updating the oscillation control table on the basis of the relation. The control part determines whether or not the deviation of a sheet in a predetermined range is correctable by updating the oscillation control table in the case of updating the oscillation control table, and updates the oscillation control table when the deviation of the sheet is correctable, and does not update the oscillation control table when the deviation of the sheet is uncorrectable. |
