<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device which returns a sample from a sample holder to a storage device in a simple and robust manner.SOLUTION: A transport device 110 for a sample 310 in a microtome includes: a transport arm 112 mounted so as to be longitudinally movable along a rail 113; an entraining element 114 which is mounted pivotably on the transport arm 112 and is movable to a first position in which it entrains the sample present on a transport path, and to a second position in which it does not entrain the sample present on the transport path; and a positioning mechanism for the entraining element, which includes a positioning element and a gate having two tracks extending alongside for the positioning element. The entraining element is forcibly located in the first position when the positioning element is moved in a first track of the two tracks, and the entraining element is forcibly located in the second position when the positioning element is moved in a second of the two tracks.</p> |
