<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free viewpoint image imaging device and a method for the free viewpoint image imaging that image a photoreal free viewpoint image by morphing an imaging image of a virtual camera corresponding to a viewpoint in accordance with the viewpoint of observing a subject on the basis of a plurality imaging images.SOLUTION: A free viewpoint image imaging device according to the present invention has: an imaging control part that acquires first imaging images of a subject from each of a plurality of imaging devices; a corresponding point retrieval part that uses a three-dimensional shape of the subject reproduced from the first imaging image to retrieves a first corresponding point serving as a corresponding point of a second imaging image acquired from the imaging device; a template matching part that performs a template matching of the first corresponding point among the second imaging images; and a virtual camera image generation part that generates third imaging images to be imaged from virtual cameras arranged among the plurality of imaging devices by a morphing process of the second imaging images.</p> |
