PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a clutch in a proper state even if a difference between hydraulic pressure between an input member and a piston and hydraulic pressure between an oil chamber defining member and an output member occurs at the release of the clutch.SOLUTION: In a starter 1, lubricants flow into clearances between a front cover 3 as an input member and a lockup piston 80, and between a flange member 85 as an oil chamber defining member and a turbine hub 7 as an output member, a recess 303 recessed to the axial direction and a large-diameter cylindrical part 301 surrounding the recess 303 are formed at a center piece 30 constituting the front cover 3, an internal peripheral part 85a of the flange member 85 is inserted into the recess 303 of the center piece 30, and engaged therewith so as to integrally rotate together with the front cover 3 in the recess 303, and a tip face 850 in the axial direction of the internal peripheral part 85a abuts on a bottom face 303b of the recess 303. |
