PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a transmission torque by a simple structure in a free-type bidirectional clutch for changing a transmission state in reference to a direction of power transmission between an input shaft and an output shaft.SOLUTION: An input shaft 2 and an output shaft 3 having a common rotation axis are installed within a fixed housing 1, an actuation element 6 formed with a plurality of external teeth 6t and a cylindrical member 5 formed with internal teeth 5t of the same number as that of the external teeth are combined to each other and installed. When the input shaft 2 is rotated, the actuation element 6, the cylindrical member 5 and the output shaft 3 are locked to cause a rotation of the input shaft 2 to be transmitted to the output shaft 3. In turn, when the output shaft 3 is rotated, the center of the actuation element 6 moves on the circumference by an eccentric ring 3s of the output shaft 3 (revolution), the actuation element 6 does not show any auto-rotation and a rotation torque does not work on the cylindrical member 5. A relation between a hole part 2r of the input shaft 2 and a projection shaft 6s of the actuation element 6 is similar to that of the above arrangement, and even if the output shaft 3 is rotated, the input shaft 2 is not rotated and a power transmission is shut off. |
