<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder which can increase a freedom of adjustment by adjusting an abrasive grain intrusion angle by adding a new adjustment item other than radii of a truing roll and a grinding wheel, and rotation speeds of the truing roll and the grinding wheel, and a truing method.SOLUTION: A truing operation face 8a of a truing roll 8 is a part of a side face of a cone in which a mother line k intersecting with a truing roll rotation axial line m at a prescribed cross angleθis made to rotate around the truing roll rotation axial line m, and when a grinding operation face 11a having a tangent which is parallel with a grinding wheel rotation axial line n is set as truing, the truing roll 8 is arranged so that the grinding wheel rotation axial line n and the truing roll rotation axial line m form the cross angleθ. The correction of a relative position of the truing roll 8 and the grinding wheel 11 with respect to the wear of the truing roll 8 is performed depending on a wear amount of the truing tool 8 in a normal direction of the truing operation face 8a.</p> |
