REFLECTOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector using a silver alloy film as a reflection film and nonetheless, having both high sulfur resistance and salt water resistance.SOLUTION: The reflector is formed by sequentially laminating a reflection film 2 made of Ag-Bi-Au alloy, a protective film adhesive layer 3 and a protective film 6 on a base material 1. The protective film 6 is a laminated structure of a silicon oxide film 4 and a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) film 5. A reflection film adhesive layer 7 comprised of a metal thin film is arranged between the base material 1 and the reflection film 2. The reflection film adhesive layer 7 enhances adhesion between the reflection film 2 and the base material and can maintain salt water resistance for a long period of time. The DLC film 5 can improve sulfur resistance by the effect of shedding sulfur. This can provide a reflector having high durability.
