PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize images such that an image, whose luminance difference is small, is not embedded in an image whose luminance difference is large.SOLUTION: The image synthesis display device includes: a change extraction part for extracting a differential image in accordance with the scale of a luminance change around each pixel from an image obtained by photographing an image of light rays different in wavelength band; a luminance conversion part for converting the luminance range of pixels in the image obtained by photographing the image of light rays of each wavelength band into a luminance range in which the shading of the image can be emphatically expressed; a comparison part for comparing the sizes of the pixel values of the differential image of each wavelength band for each corresponding pixel about the differential image of each wavelength band extracted by the change extraction part to generate a template image in which pixel values are set in accordance with the comparison result; a synthesis part for weighting the pixel value of each wavelength band converted by the luminance conversion part in accordance with the value of each pixel of the template image generated by the comparison part to create a synthetic image; and a display part for displaying the synthetic image created by the synthesis part. |
