PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in an apparatus including a transfer belt, when a burr at the tip of a transfer material passes through a transfer nip part, lateral lines in an image may be disturbed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus moves the position of a laying roller upstream of a transfer nip to an image carrier side until at least the tip of a transfer material passes through the transfer nip part to maintain a high transfer electric field between the surface of a drum and a transfer belt, and thereby suppressing the occurrence of images with scattered lateral lines. |
