PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably supplying a lubricant to a photoreceptor drum over a long period of time.SOLUTION: In a configuration including a brush roller 101 scraping the lubricant from a solid lubricant 102 and conveying the scraped lubricant to an application position 106 to a photoreceptor drum 1Y, a bias voltage having the same polarity as that of the lubricant is applied to the brush roller 101, to forcibly discharge the lubricant from the brush roller 101, the lubricant discharged on the rotating photoreceptor drum 1Y is scraped off by a leveling blade 104, and the scraped off lubricant is recovered by a receiving part 192, whenever a predetermined condition is satisfied, so that the holding amount of the lubricant held by the brush roller 101 does not exceed the upper limit of a proper range. |
