<p>Anionic silanes of the formula HOOCR'' O=C ¦ (RO)3SiR'(NCH2CH2)nNHCH2CH=CH2 are made by reacting silanes of the formula (RO)3SiR'(NHCH2CH2)nNHCH2 CH=CH2 with 1 or 2 moles of an anhydride of a 1,2-dicarboxylic acid. A typical compound is (MeO)3Si(CH2)3NCH2CH2NHCH2CH=CH2. ¦ C=O ¦ CH=CHCOOH these compounds are used as coupling agents between inorganic substrates and organic resins such as epoxides, phenolic and polyester.</p> |
