<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of an ink discharge surface of an ink jet head and retransferring of ink to the ink discharge surface, and form a good image.SOLUTION: An ink jet image formation device comprises an ink jet head 31 which discharges ink from an ink discharge surface where plural nozzles are formed, and a control part 8 which controls so that the ink discharge surface after discharging ink from the ink discharge surface is wiped free of ink along the ink discharge surface by using an ink wiping member at a maintenance time. The control part 8, at the maintenance time, controls so that the ink wiping member with contacting to the ink discharge surface is moved at a first speed at least from a maintenance start position until reaching the nearest nozzle, and, thereafter, the ink wiping member is moved at a second speed which is faster than the first speed.</p> |
