<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide; an oscillating mirror element capable of keeping rotating angular velocity of a mirror section substantially constant over a roughly entire period of a swing cycle of the mirror section; and a ranging device which allows for simplifying a configuration of a light irradiation unit.SOLUTION: An oscillating mirror element 200 includes; a mirror 11 capable of swinging about an axis 300; resonance drive sections 14a, 14b for driving the mirror 11 to swing about the axis 300 at a resonant frequency; correction drive sections 40, 50 for correcting swing drive of the mirror 11 to non-resonantly drive the mirror 11; and a drive control section 61d configured to control the drive of the correction drive sections 40, 50 to drive the mirror 11 to swing about the axis 300 at a non-resonant frequency in a direction opposite a direction in which the resonance drive sections 14a, 14b drive the mirror 11 to swing, thereby keeping rotating angular velocity of the mirror 11 substantially constant.</p> |
