<p>The present invention relates to a method for operating a motor driven power steering apparatus to provide a stable steering force as heterogeneity is not generated during the steering by generating a steering wheel holding force with a corrected vehicle speed correcting an input vehicle speed based on a stored vehicle speed when abnormality is generated to a vehicle speed inputted by the motor driven power steering apparatus. The method for operating a motor driven power steering apparatus comprises: a step of which a control unit stores an inputted input vehicle speed; a step of which the control unit determines whether the input vehicle speed is out of a permissible range; a step of generating a steering wheel holding force based on the input vehicle speed when the input vehicle speed is within the permissible range; and a step of generating a steering wheel holding force by calculating a corrected vehicle speed based on the stored input vehicle speed when the input vehicle speed is out of the permissible range.</p> |
