PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform connection to a server through a communication network, when determining that a current position of a portable communication terminal is located in a secure area which has been previously registered.SOLUTION: A data communication system includes a server, and a portable communication terminal capable of communicating with the server through a communication network. The portable communication terminal includes a position recognition unit capable of recognizing position relation between a current position of the portable communication terminal and an access point existing in a specific secure area which has been previously registered, on the basis of reception radio field intensity. The server includes an authentication unit for performing user authentication for connecting the portable communication terminal to the server through the communication network. The portable communication terminal also includes a control unit for, when determining that the current position of the portable communication terminal recognized by the position recognition unit is located in a secure area which has been previously registered, controlling to automatically perform connection to the server through the communication network and, and for, when determining that the current position is not located in the secure area, controlling to perform input of authentication information for connection to the server. |
