PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid polymer fuel cell suitable for mass production, by suppressing application of a concentrated load to a polymer electrolyte membrane.SOLUTION: A mask sheet 62 that is set with a heat distortion temperature lower than that of a transfer sheet 60 is prepared, and a paste 70 for catalyst layer is applied from the aperture 64 of the mask sheet 62 to the transfer sheet 60. After drying the paste 70 for catalyst layer at a drying temperature equal to or higher than that of the mask sheet 62 but lower than that of the transfer sheet 60, the mask sheet 62 is removed from the transfer sheet 60. Furthermore, the paste 70 for catalyst layer is transferred to both sides of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane. |
