PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure wear amounts of a brake pad and a disc rotor in a disc brake of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A wear amount detection device which detects wear amounts of a disc rotor and a brake pad in a disc brake of a vehicle comprises: the disc rotor; the brake pad; an electric piston which is driven by an electric motor, and makes the brake pad contact the disc rotor; contact detection means 80 which detects the contact; piston stroke amount detection means 90 which detects a piston stroke amount of the electric piston; brake detection means 50 which detects that a brake operation is performed; and a calculation part 60 which calculates the wear amounts of the disc rotor and the brake pad from a difference between the piston stroke amount in assembling and the piston stroke amount in use.
