<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which prevents ink mist adhered to a roller from adhering to a recording medium in conveying the recording medium, and facilitates normal discharge of ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes a drive roller (a conveying roller 103), and a driven roller (a pinch roller 104) which is divided into a plurality of units and presses a recording medium (a sheet) with predetermined pressing force. The ink jet recording device is used to compare a width of a preceding recording medium and a width of a following recording medium. When the width of the following recording medium is wider, the pressing force of the driven roller which holds and conveys while pressing an end part of the preceding recording medium is increased than the predetermined pressing force. Then, in a state that the pressing force of the driven roller which holds and conveys while pressing the end part of the preceding recording medium is reduced than the predetermined pressing force, the recording medium is held and conveyed while pressing an intermediate region between both end parts of an image forming part of the following recording medium.</p> |
