PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of suppressing the cost of memory and reducing erroneous detection of an edge.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 100, which detects an edge on the basis of an image photographed by a camera 110 mounted to a mobile object, comprises a controller 101; an image acquisition unit 102; and a detection unit 103. The control unit 101 changes the exposure time of the camera 110 from a first exposure time to a second exposure time longer than the first exposure time. The image acquisition unit 102 acquires an image photographed with the second exposure time during the movement of the mobile object. The detection unit 103 detects a blur edge caused by camera motion blur from the acquired image.
