PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of AF (Auto Focus) control.SOLUTION: A pixel driving part drives pixels disposed in a pixel array part in which first pixels corresponding to each of a plurality of color components and second pixels of which the luminance components become main components are regularly disposed in a matrix shape; and a signal processing circuit part calculates a pixel value to be used for AF control by executing predetermined addition processing while using only pixel information obtained from high-sensitivity pixels in the first pixels and the second pixels. The present technology may be applicable to e.g., CMOS image sensors.
